Volunteer Connections
With more than 1,000 private non-profit and public human service agencies addressing poverty in Utah, the Americacorps*VISTA Volunteer Connections project builds volunteer capacity among those organizations to better address the needs of those service providers.

The goal of the Volunteer Connections project is to mobilize people and resources to deliver creative solutions to the above social needs as well as a spectrum of additional needs including hunger, illiteracy, financial management for low-income families, mentoring for low-income and at-risk youth and children, gang prevention, and homelessness. Through the Volunteer Connections project, VISTA members builds capacity among these service providers by recruit, retaining, and recognizing thousands of volunteers annually.
Volunteer Connections VISTA members serve within Volunteer Centers and help develop and maintain capacity building projects that rely on volunteers. Members interact with a spectrum of other volunteer programs including, but not limited to, homeland security programs, corporate volunteers, youth, children & family volunteers, school, and/or senior citizens.
